Thompson Sears tractor lawn sprinkler lower bushing. The lower bushing is a 2-piece design. It's white with black o-rings for sealing between the tractor body / tractor shaft and lower bushing. I grease the o-rings and use an appropriate

size socket, small piece of wood or the old bottom bushing to LIGHTLY tap AROUND the upper bushing piece to press fit it into the tractor body. The shaft rides on the lower bushing piece with the o-ring between the lower and upper piece to seal around the shaft. I've tested the 2-piece lower bushing on my tractors and it works just fine. It's designed so the existing retaining screw doesn't have to be removed from the tractor. You might still see a drip of water from around the shaft depending on the condition of your Thompson.
