From a recent estate auction: an unopened package of Thai silk fabric. This is labeled 'Silk of Siam, 100% pure Thai silk handwoven in Thailand.' It is marked as 'original dress length' and the price tag is hand written with '36", 4 yd.' and it is a rich dark black. I have not ripped open the old cellophane packaging, but it has an overlapping envelope closure so I was able to pull the fabric out a bit for photos.. This is a lovely length of Thai handwoven silk, which features the natural textures with some slubs and nubs, and it's a great dark black.This package has apparently maintained the fabric well and I do not detect and damage or odors.
